DOES EVERY BELIEVER HAVE THE GIFT OF TONGUES?
THE GIFT OF TONGUES: I believe it is very safe to say “YES”. How can you receive the Holy Ghost in His full form without receiving His language?
The moment you are baptized with the Holy Ghost, you automatically become a citizen of heaven, and Heaven has its languages (that doesn’t mean that God doesn’t understand all languages). Remember when a hand appeared in the book of Daniel and wrote something on the wall, no one could interpret it, let alone understand it, not until Daniel was called upon, who came and interpreted it because Daniel was a man of the Spirit. (Study Daniel 5 for clearer understanding)
And secondly, based on what we’ve read and understood from the Bible, whenever someone receives the Holy Ghost, they immediately blast into new tongues.
Speaking in tongues is initial evidence, or sign, of the baptism of the Holy Spirit: “And they were all FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST, and began to SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4).
More light; in the book of Mark 16:17-18, speaking in tongues was mentioned among the gifts that MUST follow all who believe in Christ Jesus.
From these few verses, we attain that all believers have the ability to speak in tongues the moment they are baptized in the Holy Ghost.
If you are a believer and can’t speak in tongues, it’s because you have not accepted it to come through you, it’s not the Holy Ghost that will open your mouth, you are the one to open your mouth while the Holy Ghost will give you the words.
